Mentorship

Connecting through experience

BWIC pairs graduate students with undergraduates to help guide and empower them in their academic, professional, and social lives.

We hold mixers and social events, advise on graduate school applications, and help our mentees find fruitful research relationships.

Outreach

Advancing the future generation

BWIC members regularly volunteer with many science outreach organizations and programs at UT including, but not limited to: Council of Graduate Chemists, Fun with Chemistry, Adopt-A-School, Virtual Presentations, H2 from H2O, and many more.

We are improving science education and communication throughout the state, US, and over the world.

Support

Becoming role models

We build each other up as individuals by building up our team. BWIC members host social events geared towards team work, such as going on a hike or escaping a Panic Room with two seconds left.

Additionally, BWIC provides resources and opportunities for undergraduates to apply to graduate programs of their choice.
